Written on the back of the photograph is "sister Mary, taken in 1897".   Jacob does not have a sister named Mary.   I have a theory Mary is Lizzie's sister Mary PRESCHERN, but I seek confirmation from a descendant or relative.   What is Mary's married name?   Send me an email at walt@criteser.org, if you can confirm or refute the photo as Mary PRESCHERN.   Your assistance would be very much appreciated.

By the way, in my family history research I have seen the term "brother" and "sister" used in old civil war letters which did not indicate a sibling relationship.   In the letter it was a term referring to another church member.   On the back of this photograph I think it does refer to a sibling.

This portrait photograph has been positively identified as Maria Anna 'Mary' Preschern Poot.   The positive identification was made by a grand-daughter of Mary.
