Written on the back of this portrait photograph is "Married Nov 15th 1892, picture taken 1893", but the names of the man and woman were not identified.   However, with the help of another JONES family researcher, the date of marriage matches the date of marriage of Joseph Micelli and Grace Preschern Micelli.   A published photograph in a Roseburg history book of Joseph Micelli looks like a possible match - similar but different since the ages of the two photos is different.   But, combine the marriage date, the known photo of Joseph and a previous picture in the album being of Victor Micelli makes the confidence level moderate the picture is of Mr. and Mrs. Micelli.   Since the Micelli's are not a descendant of the JONES family, it was very fortunate the JONES researcher had the marriage information available.   By the way, I have conflicting reports of Mrs. Micelli's given name.   A local history book for Roseburg reports Joseph Micelli married Grace Preschern, but I also recorded Teressa, but without a source citation.   Either way, I am confident she is the sister of Lizzie Preschern Jones.   Eventually, I need to resolve the conflict between the given name Grace and the given name Teressa.   I would not be surprised if they are first and middle names.   Send me an email if you can shed some light on Mrs. Micelli's full maiden name.   Or send me an email if you are a descendant of the PRESCHERN's or the MICELLI's and have the same photograph and can confirm it is Joseph and Grace, that would be awsome and would increase the confidence of the identification to HIGH!

A Preschern descendant confirmed the photogrpah is Joseph and Teressa Grace Preschern Micelli!   The confidence level in the identification is now HIGH!   walt@criteser.org
